Who scooped the pool for excellence in pools and spas?
Pool and spa industry representatives from across NSW came together to celebrate the industry’s night of nights, at Le Montage in Lilyfield on June 26. This year, 165 quality entries were received from metropolitan and regional NSW.
According to SPASA NSW ceo Spiros Dassakis, the annual celebration of excellence was the culmination of months of tireless work by SPASA members who constantly strive to set new pool and spa industry benchmarks. “At the SPASA NSW Awards, the ingenuity, creativity and true innovation from our aspiring members takes centre stage,” Spiros explains. “The accomplishments of our finalists encapsulate Australian, and indeed, international pool building of the highest calibre.”
Now into their 23rd year, the SPASA NSW Awards are judged by an independent panel. The awards are designed to promote achievement in design, construction, innovation, and sustainability across all sectors of the industry; and encourage a high degree of competency and professionalism by members.
Judging criteria for pools and spas includes design innovation, degree of difficulty, artistic design, and quality of workmanship. There are numerous award categories covering excellence in pools, spas and water features. A complete showcase of the NSW winners is included in the 2010.2011 issue of SPASA NSW’s flagship consumer magazine, Pool & Spa Essentials, which comes out in Spring (September).
