The Swimming Pool and Spa Alliance's 2013 SPASA CONVENTION is gearing up to be a hugely successful event - with the expo now 100 percent full.

Deadline extended to 19th November

NSW SWIMMING POOLS REGISTER - DEADLINE EXTENDED TO 19TH NOVEMBER 

 The NSW Government has extended the deadline for swimming pool owners to compulsorily register their backyard pools and spas, in light of technical problems with the register's website.

The registration deadline was midnight October 29 but technical difficulties prevented many residents from completing registration online in the past 48 hours.

EVERYTHING YOU WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT THE NSW SWIMMING POOL REGISTER 

 NSW SWIMMING POOLS REGISTRATION DEADLINE

Pool owners are required to register their swimming pools and spa before 29 October 2013 by visiting the NSW Swimming Pool Register Website at www.swimmingpoolregister.nsw.gov.au or face fines between $220 and $2,200.

To register a pool, pool owners will need to know:

- Physical address of the pool and/or spa
- Type of property such as a private residence, multi-unit or tourist accommodation
- When the pool/spa was built
- If the pool barrier has been substantially modified or rebuilt and when that took place

Heating Submission

SPASA Heating Submission supported by the Australian Building Codes Board - Industry to benefit through uniform provisions

The Australian Building Codes Board Committee has considered and supported SPASA’s submission to amend clause 3.12.57 of the Building Code of Australia to allow additional types of heating for swimming pools to be included in the public comment draft of Volume Two (Residential) of the National Construction Code 2014.
