Barrier Inspections Delayed 

More time to get it right

An eleventh hour delay by the NSW Government to postpone pool barrier compliance – the second in as many years – has been met with support by industry experts.
The revised date of 29 April 2016 means that all residential properties that are sold or leased with a swimming pool or spa pool have an additional 12 months to obtain a valid swimming pool certificate of compliance annexed to the contract.

Consumers Agree - Pools and Spas are in

Resort and Outdoor Living was one of the key themes of the 2015 Pool Spa & Outdoor Living Expo, held by the Swimming Pool and Spa Alliance (SPASA) on the 21st and 2nd Feb at Rosehill Gardens. 
The expo was packed full of feature displays, special show offers and new releases from over 90 exhibiting leading suppliers, plus many of Sydney’s award-winning pools, spas and landscape designers. Also on display were the latest shade systems, gazebos, pool and spa heating systems, outdoor furniture, outdoor tiles and pool/spa finishes.

SPASA's preferred Insurance Broker, Nationwide Insurance Brokers has provided the below summary of changes relating to HOME WARRANTY INSURANCE.
As you may be aware the NSW Self Insurance Corporation trading as the Home Building Compensation Fund (HBCF) is making significant operational changes to IT systems and eligibility approval from 4 August 2015. From this date your insurance intermediary will be submitting your applications for HBCF cover directly to the HBCF’s IT system.
